Junior C++ Software Engineer

Our client is an exciting Energy Management solutions company based in Castletroy, Limerick. They are part of a global leading technology group operating in large-scale smart energy solutions around the globe. Due to continued growth, they are now hiring a junior level C++ Software Engineer to join their team in Limerick. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week based in the Limerick office and 3 days per week remote.

This role will involve working in a small multi-functional team, with hands-on involvement in design, development, and testing. small group of software engineers in our Embedded team. This role will involve contributing hands-on coding to accelerate delivery of IoT solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C/C++. Along with strong technical skills, an ability collaborate in peer reviews and setting of technical direction are desirable.

 

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Skills in C/C++.
• One – 2 years relevant professional experience.
• Excellent spoken English and general communication skills.

Experience of the following would be an advantage (however is not required):

• Embedded design skills.
• Experience designing networked devices using both wired and wireless technologies.
• Experience in the energy industry, and/or design of embedded IoT devices.

This is a hybrid role (2 days per week on site and 3 days per week remote) and attractive salary + full benefits on offer, including 25 days holidays, bonus, health insurance, company pension scheme, flexitime, etc.
