Programme Manager, Shannon, Co Clare.

Our client, one of Ireland's largest and most successful electronics companies, is now hiring for the position of Programme Manager. They are a stable company developing and manufacturing new electronics products, using state of the art technology. This would be a great opportunity for an ambitious professional who wants to work in a long-established and growing company. The location is within easy commuting distance of Limerick, Ennis or Galway.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the portfolio of projects within the Product Development Department, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.  This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

 

The Job:

  • Establish a project management process, based on industry best practice, and tailored to the firm’s specific needs.
  • Work with project managers and technical leaders to consistently apply across all projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources and deliverables for each project within the programme.
  • Develop a process and tools for effort recording, work estimation, demand vs. capacity planning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, team members, and leadership team, to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor project budgets closely and make adjustments as needed to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
  • Facilitate clear and transparent communication among all stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the project cycle.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key milestones, accomplishments, and challenges.

 

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira.
  • 5 year’s proven experience in a programme or project management.
  • Background of working in the high-volume manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall and other project methodologies.
  • Project Management qualification an advantage.
