Senior Software Applications Developer, Ennis, CountyClare.

Our client is a global specialist in the packaging sector, located in Co Clare. They have an immediate requirement for aSenior Software Applications Developer to join their team. In this role you will be playing a key role in the firm’s ongoing drive towards digital transformation. This role is physically located in the production site in Ennis, in County Clare.

This will involve working with team members from all departments, sales through to despatch, helping to simplify workflows, automate processes and develop interactive dashboard views using data from various systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both cloud-based systems and on-premise vendor applications. The tech stack includes Javascript, PHP, SQL Server, MySQL, C# etc.

The role will also involve taking an active part in group level Business IT meetings with the other members of the Business IT Team, and to assist in aligning the local business IT needs with the global group business IT requirements.

 

Candidate Profile:

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• EC citizen or full current Irish work permit.
• Experience of working and thriving in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Be dynamic, self-motivated, able to work autonomously and in the team.
• Comfortable in taking responsibility for project timelines.
• Solid understanding and demonstrated experience with PHP and/or JavaScript.
• Experience of REST & HTML
• Skilled in SQL Server or MySQL

 

Desirable (but not essential) skills include:

• Experience of C#
• Exposure to IT Infrastructure (server, LAN/WAN etc)
• ERP systems and business processes, including finance, supply chain and manufacturing.
• Previous experience of working in the manufacturing/production sector
