Full Details:

We are recruiting a Senior Technical Operations Engineer with cloud experience for a leading multinational company at its Shannon, Co. Clare office. The role offers an experienced engineer the opportunity to work as part of a global IT team that supports critical infrastructure services. The company provides an exceptional benefits package to employees. Applicants need to be available to work Monday - Thursday on-site in Shannon, Co. Clare, with Fridays available to work from home 

In this role you will provide technical operations support and administration of Cloud services; manage infrastructure vulnerabilities, network availability and remote site connectivity; take ownership of operational incidents and their escalation; support business applications and their dependency on infrastructure; manage data backups and system security operations; manage changes to WAN and LAN infrastructure and AV equipment; review existing systems and processes for improvements; and act as the senior point of escalation for the service desk.


Applicants for this role should have:

  • A degree in computer science or engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • At least 6 years of experience providing large enterprise IT support/admin
  • 2+ years of cloud infrastructure support experience (including AWS, Azure, M365, AD Connect, PAM, and IAM)
  • A deep understanding of IT infrastructure, IT security, LAN and WAN technologies
  • Proven experience with infrastructure management that focuses on operational stability
  • Technical knowledge in networking, telecoms, data centres, end-user platforms and Cloud hosting
  • Experience managing and communicating with outsourced IT service partners
  • Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to work within a fast-paced team environment that includes interaction with business partners, management and staff
  • The ability to work on their own initiative with a focus on service delivery
  • Fluent written and spoken English
