We are seeking a Domain Release Engineer for a large global financial technology company. Our client employs people in more than 100 countries around the world. This position is based in north Tipperary, within commuting distance (30 minutes) of Limerick city. In this role you will implement and manage the software release process, through development, test and implementation, working closely with the IT teams involved to ensure timelines and scope fit with the release calendar. Your role will involve forward planning of release windows and cycle; ensuring all relevant teams are informed of release plans, commitments and changes; management of key information, including build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists; management of relationships and coordination of work across distributed teams; measuring progress; and managing risks and resolving issues that affect release schedules.

Applicants for this role should have:

  • A degree in computing or business
  • At least 5 years of experience in release management of software products
  • Experience managing releases for multiple platforms and distributed teams
  • Extensive experience with change management and release management tools
  • An understanding of source code management and automation (for deployment and testing)
  • The ability to understand complex businesses processes and systems
  • The capability to take on responsibility and work with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with all project stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail in capturing technical information and in reporting issues
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to act as an influential team member
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines under time pressure
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of payments processing would be an advantage to have
