EMEA Technical Support Manager

 

Our client is a dynamic USA company, they are a leading technology solutions provider, helping their customers build, manage, optimize and secure their IT infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they now have an immediate requirement for an experienced Technical Support Manager. This is a great opportunity to join the senior management team in Limerick at a critical point in their planned growth globally. Attractive salary and benefits are on offer.

 

In this position you will be build up and run a European technical support center. You will be managing a team of 15 Application Engineers and IT Technical Support technicians across Europe.  The key focus of your team will be to provide Pre- and Post-Sales support to the customer base in the EMA region.

 

Reporting into the VP of Sales, your remit will include supporting the sales team, being involved in project management activities during the delivery phase of the project and providing post sales technical support, and managing day-to-day technical support activities for pre-sales and post sales technical engineering support.

 

Your role will also involve performance management of the technical support team, including hiring, coaching, performance feedback and reviews, terminations, rewards determination, training and development. This role will involve some level of regular international travel (mostly within Europe) after CIVOD19 travel restrictions are lifted.

 

 

 

Candidate profile:

 

You are an experienced Technical Support Manager, with circa 10+ years IT infrastructure support experience and with at least five years experience of building and leading IT Technical Support teams. You have solid experience with both pre and post-sales activities and you have a broad IT background, including various network management systems, remote network connectivity schemes and cloud based technology systems.

 

You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allied with strong team leading and team building skills. You have prior experience of project management .

Experience in SharePoint, IoT technology or of service delivery management such as ServiceNow would be desirable (but not required.)
