Software Test Engineer (Limerick City centre)
Our client is a dynamic USA company who are a leading technology solutions provider, helping their customers build, manage, optimize and secure their IT infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they now have an immediate requirement for a Software Test Engineer to join their rapidly growing team based in Limerick city centre. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for defining test plans for products and new features (OEM and Internal Development), running test cycles, configuring and maintaining the lab to increase efficiency via optimized test plans and automation.
You will be involved in creating test automation for products and features and problem isolation and fault finding. You will configure and maintain the test lab and creating and updating of releases notes. You will manage release of software and you will work with Product Management to understand requirement definitions.
You will work with the Software Development team to test product and isolate issues, and you will work with more junior engineers to assign tasks and give guidance.
Educated to degree level you have strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as excellent collaborative and communication skills. You should have between 4 – 8 years test experience and have a solid background in test methodologies, report writing and trend analysis. You should have solid test automation experience.
Experience of (or any interest in) any of the following would be desirable:
Configuring and installation of Windows OS/Windows Server/Linux.
PowerShell and/or Linux scripting
Understanding and configuration of Virtualisation systems.
Automated testing of Web apps using tools such as Selenium, Sahi and Watir
